In 2014 ELTRON LTD starts production of modern and efficient LED lighting - LED panels for flush and surface mount, while for interior and exterior - LED ceiling and wall fixtures, and waterproof LED fixtures for bathroom under the INTO brand.

Moreover, ELTRON LTD developed and launched LED sources of white(day) light - LED modules and LED tubes applicable to a wide range of lighting fixtures.

  • Why LED?

This is not just another technical achievement in lighting, this is a radical change in human environment, its light, color and comfort.
The tiny and simple LED chip has concentrated in itself the latest achievements of physics, nanotechnology, microelectronics and a complex structure of semiconductor layers and phosphors.

  • Light Emitting Diode

LED technology is a semiconductor diode, whose base of operation is the principle of p-n-transition. Simply, this involves two semiconductors with different types of conductivity. One of the semiconductors have an excess of electrons (n-type), while the other is characterized by an excess of "holes" (p-type).
When n-element in such diode is switched to the positive terminal of the power source, it begins to flow current. Nowadays, the development of integrated technology allows a single crystal to form a huge amount of such p-n - transitions. For example, the processors of computers may contain not one, but several tens of million of these transition. The most interesting process begins once in the LEDs start to run current. At this point begins recombination of electrical charge carriers. In short, this means that electrons with a negative charge are trying to occupy the place where there are ions with a positive charge on the crystal lattice of the semiconductor. The moment when the "hole" and the electron meet, stems burst of energy and emits a photon (light particle). Thus, arises lighting - the principle that is used in LED.
LEDs have led to drastic changes in energy-efficient lighting.

Benefits of LED lamps:

  •     Long life

LED lights have extremely long life between 5 to 10 times more than compact fluorescent lamps and up to 50 times longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. This advantage is particularly important when calculating the investment in various types of lighting. During the life of an LED bulb, the user will need to change at least 5 pieces compact fluorescent lamps. This does not take into account additional costs for replacement of conventional lamps, which in large commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects can also be significant.

  •     Durability

LED lamps do not get hot because they spent 3,4 btu / hr. compared to 85 btu / hr. for incandescent bulbs. Conventional incandescent bulbs are heated, which results in increased ambient temperature in the room. Another advantage of LED lamps is that they do not emit UV rays, which is a very important feature used, for example, in the lighting of works of art.

  •     No mercury

In the production of LED lamps, it is not used mercury and other toxic substances.

  •     Environmentally effective

LED lighting uses less than 1/5 of the electricity needed to run the conventional incandescent bulbs. In the event that we have as a standard 60 W bulb, then at its replacement with 11W LED analog, power consumption will decrease by more than 80%.
